6.4 Routine Maintenance Procedures
WARNING! Before performing any of the maintenance procedures in this section, perform a
service shutdown described in 2.13 Service Shutdown.
NOTE The following maintenance procedures are for the S2-900 Series Dispensing Systems.
Refer to the appropriate manual for recommended maintenance procedures for your
specific fluid dispensing applicator.
Routine maintenance procedures and required intervals are listed in Table 6-1.

Clean Dispensing Area Daily
Remove spilled fluids with the manufacturer’s
recommended solvent and a soft cloth. Remove any
foreign objects from the dispensing area and tooling plate.
 NOTE If applicable, make sure the dispensing
system ventilation is ON during handling
and cleanup of all materials used with the
dispensing system.
Clean Purge Station Boot Daily
1. Remove the Purge Station cover.
2. Carefully clean the boot and purge station cover with
a small brush or soft cloth and the cleaning agent
recommended by the fluid manufacturer. Inspect the
rubber boot for damage. Replace if needed.

3. Replace the purge station cover.

Clean Camera Lens As Needed Use the cleaning kit provided.
Clean Dispensing System Weekly
Clean all surfaces using a clean cloth and isopropyl
alcohol.
Drain Water Trap Weekly
Check water level and empty if necessary.
See 6.6 Draining the Water Trap.
Verify Interlock
Functionality
Weekly See 6.7 Verifying Interlock Functionality.
Check EMO Button Monthly
Verify that that the dispensing system shuts down when
the EMO button is activated.
Check Pneumatic System Monthly Check for leakage.
