Operation 4-21
4.9 Valve Offsets
Fluidmove provides a semi-automated routine called Valve Offsets to establish machine offset
parameters. This setup procedure is vision assisted to ensure the front door remains closed. The user
proceeds through a list of steps to teach the camera offset, the Safe Z Height and the locations for the
scale and purge stations and the test substrate.
Valve Offsets is generally performed during initial installation and when creating a program. In addition,
valve offsets must be run after the following procedures:
• Valve Change
• Needle or Nozzle Change
• Camera Change or Location Adjustment
• Purge Station/Weigh Station Change or Location Adjustment
• Height Sensor Change or Location Adjustment
• Needle Sensor Change or Location Adjustment
• Software Upgrade or Reinstallation
There are three valve offsets procedures available:
• Valve Offsets
• Scripted Valve Offsets
• Camera Assisted Valve Offsets
Valve Offsets is the standard procedure. Scripted Valve Offsets lets you customize the Valve Offsets
Routine to fit your particular setup needs. Camera Assisted Scripted Valve Offsets is the same as Scripted
Valve Offsets except it uses the camera for alignment tasks and provides the option of using fiducials to
locate devices in the dispensing area.
The Camera Assisted Scripted Valve Offsets procedure is recommended.
 NOTE Refer to the Fluidmove User Guide or Online Help for instructions on the valve offsets
procedures.
