Programming an extension

Step by step
Waiting time for a second attendant to
answer a call on an external analog
line
This consists of a time period (in seconds) during which
an incoming call rings at the first attendant of an exter-
nal line. If the call is not answered within the specified
amount of time, it will be directed to the second atten-
dant (Æ page 24).
The default configuration is set to 30 seconds.
Required: Programming mode must be activated (*95
31994).
qlg w Enter the programming code.
p w Enter a number for an analog trunk (e.g., 801).
de . fd Enter the activation timeout (01 to 20 in 5 second cy-
cles) where 00 = 0 seconds... 06 = 30 seconds (de-
fault), etc.
w Initial status for programming mode.
Programming an extension
Pickup groups
Extensions can be grouped into a maximum of 16 Pick-
up groups. This allows an extension to answer calls that
ring at other extensions belonging to the same Pickup
group.
Required: Programming mode must be activated (*95
31994).
In the case of an ISDN trunk, if the setting is con-
figured as absent, two interfaces will be deacti-
vated.
For digital lines (E1 CAS/S2) you must also pro-
gram a TME1 module using the E1 Trunk Manag-
er (E1 CAS) and S2M Maintenance (S2) applica-
tions.
