VMIe protocol
Voice mail analog connections require the VMIe proto-
col (Voice mail Interface - extended). Voice mail commu-
nication takes place via DTMF signals that contain the
following information:
1. Internal call from Extension 16 to the VMIe group:

2. Direct internal call from Extension 15 to Extension
11, forwarded to the VMIe group (*11):
***3****15****11*1;

Note: if an extension is
longer, the DTMF digit “*”

This element remains blank for all other types of calls

Format: “****i” (i = extension called)
