Programming an extension

q or r w Activate/Disable permission for Silent monitoring of a
specific extension:
q = Activated
r = Deactivated (default)
p w Enter the next extension number.
or
r w Press this key.
Initial status for programming mode.
Caller ID for analog extension (CLIP)
When the system receives an incoming call with caller
ID (activated by the local carrier), the extension config-
ured to use this feature receives and displays the call-
er’s data on the telephone display.

The telephone must have an external power supply and
comply with the appropriate regulations.
Required: Programming mode must be activated (*95
31994).
ded w Enter the programming code.
p w Enter the analog extension number (e.g., 12/102).
p w Select the type of configuration:
d = no Caller ID (default)
On Profiset 3030 telephones, the MUTE option
is automatically activated with Silent monitoring.
Within the system, Silent monitoring has the
same limitation as the Conference and Override
features.
A maximum of 2 simultaneous conferences is al-
lowed by the system. Important: Override iis
ticketed as a conference.
If the monitoring or the monitored party change
status, silent monitoring will be canceled. This oc-
curs, for example, when a call is placed on hold.
