The continuous two-speed PTO drive is designed to obtain two rotation modes on the
power take-off shaft end: 540 rpm and 1000 rpm. Drive pinion-shaft 30 of the PTO drive,
mounted on two bearings 8 and 12, is connected to floating bushing 2 of the clutch backing
plate through splines and is in constant engagement with two driven gears of the PTO drive
26 and 27. Driven gear 27 of the 540 rpm drive is mounted on driven shaft of the PTO drive
22 on two needle bearings with outer race 28. Driven gear 26 of the 1000 rpm drive is in-
stalled on driven gear 27 on two ball bearings 25. The transmission of torque from the driven
gears to driven shaft 22 is carried out through toothed clutch 24 mounted on the splines of
the driven shaft. The toothed clutch is engaged with one of the gears by means of control
roller 23.
The HLL pump is driven by gear 10 mounted on two ball bearings 9 of axle 11. Drive
gear 10 is in constant engagement with pinion-shaft 30.
The increasing gear unit is intended to obtain an additional series of speeds required
for operation in the transport range and with agricultural machines. The increasing gear unit
is located between the clutch housing and the gearbox. On power shaft 14 of the clutch
housing, connective toothed clutch 19 is movably installed on the splines. When toothed
clutch 19, by means of control mechanism 18, engages with drive gear of the gear unit 16
mounted on the power shaft on rollers 17, then the increasing gear unit is on (higher pass
of the increasing gear unit). If the toothed clutch engages with driven gear 20 mounted on
the splines of the gearbox primary shaft, then the increasing gear unit is off (lower pass of
the increasing gear unit). The lever for switching the increasing gear unit is installed in the
tractor cab.
The clutch housing of the BELARUS-892/892.2 tractors can also be equipped with:
1. Reducing mechanical gear unit (Figure 3.2.5.), which is designed to obtain an ad-
ditional series of speeds necessary for operation with agricultural machines. The reducing
gear unit is located between the clutch housing and the gearbox. On power shaft 14 of the
clutch housing, connective toothed clutch 19 is movably installed on the splines. When
toothed clutch 19, by means of control mechanism 18, engages with drive gear of the gear
unit 16 mounted on the power shaft on rollers 17, then the reducing gear unit is on (lower
pass of the reducing gear unit). If the toothed clutch engages with driven gear 20 mounted
on the splines of the gearbox primary shaft, then the reducing gear unit is off (higher pass
of the reducing gear unit). The lever for switching the reducing gear unit is installed in the
tractor cab.
2. Reverse gear unit (Figure 3.2.6.), designed to change the direction of the tractor
movement. The reverse gear unit is located between the clutch housing and the gearbox.
The primary shaft of the gearbox has synchronizer 18 installed. The synchronizer train, con-
trolled by control mechanism 17, can engage with driven gear of the reverse gear unit 19
(reverse movement) or with drive gear of the reverse gear unit 16 (forward movement). The
lever for switching the reverse gear unit is installed in the t
ractor cab. Moving the lever for-
ward in the direction of tractor movement actuates forward movement. Moving the lever
back actuates reversing.
