In front of driven gear of the reverse gear unit 35b, synchronizer 38 is installed, the
movable carriage of which is always connected to primary shaft of the gearbox 34b through
splined bushing 37, rigidly installed on it. The synchronizer is controlled by yoke 39, the
groove of which is engaged by hub disk of synchronizer 38.
Yoke 39 with the shaft has a possibility of axial movement in the hole of carrier 36b
of the primary shaft. On shaft 39 there are two transverse holes for a spring-loaded ball of
retainer 40. The holes provide shaft 39 and the related yoke with two fixed positions.
Secondary shaft 6 is supported by two tapered roller bearings, one of which is located
in the bore of gearbox housing 29, and the second is located in cage 16, which is installed
in the bore of the rear wall of gearbox housing 29 and is attached to it by bolts. Structurally,
the secondary shaft is made in one piece with the driven gear of the 1st pass of the range
gear unit. The ring of the gear is located cantilevered in the front part of secondary shaft 6.
In the span between the supports of the secondary shaft, driven gear of the second pass of
the range gear unit 18 is installed rigidly on splines, which is also the drive gear of the rear
PTO ground-speed drive. On the rear console of the secondary shaft, drive gear 17 of the
main speed of the rear axle (small bevel gear) is installed rigidly on splines.
In front of the hollow intermediate shaft 32, on its splines, there are rigidly mounted
gears: double-rim driven gear of the 5th and 8th speeds and reverse speeds 28, driven gear
of the 4th and 7th speeds 27 and driven gear of the 3rd and 6th speeds 26, on the hub of
which two-rim intermediate gear 25 freely rotates on a needle roller bearing. Gear 25 is in
constant engagement with gear 25 (Figure 3.3.2), providing the ability to engage low speeds
and reverse speeds through gear 26, as well as the hydraulic creeper drive. In the rear part
of intermediate shaft 32 (Figure 3.3.1), sliding gear 23 is installed on its splines which is the
drive gear of the 1st pass of the range gear unit.
The front support of intermediate shaft 32 is a ball bearing located in cage 33 of the
front wall of gearbox housing 29. The rear support of the intermediate shaft is a bronze
bushing installed in the bore of drive gear 23 of the second pass of the range gear unit.
The drive gear of the second pass of range gear unit 23 rotates freely on two roller bearings
located in cage 22, installed in the bore of the rear wall of gearbox housing 29 and fastened to it
with bolts. Gear 23 has external and internal gear rims, as well as cams located on its rear end,
which serve to drive the ground-speed rear PTO. In the bore of gear 23, seat 20 with a bronze
bushing is fixed with a pin, which is the support of inner shaft 19. Outside, impeller 21 is fixed on
gear 23, which, by intensive spraying, improves the lubrication of the main gear and pinion and
the differential of the tractor rear axle.
Supports of 1st gear and reverse shaft 27 (Figure 3.3.2) are two ball bearings located in
the bores of the gearbox housing. In front of shaft 27, sliding gear 26 is installed on the splines,
which is a gear for low speeds and reverse. Movement of sliding gear 26 back to mesh with gear
27 (Figure 3.3.1) allows to get low forward speeds, while its movement forward - reverse gears.
In the latter case, gear 26 (Figure 3.3.2) engages with interme
diate reverse gear 15, which is
mounted on axle 14 and rotates freely on it on a needle roller bearing.
