CPDLC – MESSAGE
1 Air Traffic Control Message (ATC MSG)
Push – to receive a new ATC message, the ATC MSG advisory is displayed to alert
the crew that there is a new message that requires a response.
Once the message is received by the system, a timer starts. A response is required
within a set time period. If no response is sent within the time period, an error
message is displayed in the RESPONSE line of the message to indicate the timer
expired without a response. In most cases, the response time period will be two
minutes.
