Gear Down
This section contains performance for airplane operation with the landing
gear extended. The data is based on engine bleeds for normal air
conditioning.
Note: The Flight Management Computer System (FMCS) does not
contain special provisions for operation with landing gear extended.
As a result, the FMCS may generate inappropriate enroute speed
schedules, display non-conservative predictions of fuel burn,
estimated time of arrival (ETA), maximum altitude, and compute
overly shallow descent path. An accurate estimated time of arrival
(ETA) is available if current speed or Mach is entered into the
VNAV cruise page.
Tables for gear down performance in this section are identical in format
and used in the same manner as tables for the gear up configuration
previously described.
