2 Nearest Airport (NEAREST ARPTS)
Push – commands FMC to search navigation database for the five airports nearest
to the airplane’s present position. The following actions occur:
• any alternates already entered are saved
• page title changes to NEAREST ARPTS
• the five nearest airports are displayed on lines 1L to 5L
• the NEAREST ARPTS prompt is replaced with PREVIOUS prompt
• selection of the PREVIOUS prompt returns the display to the
ALTERNATE DESTS page.
Selection cannot be overwritten or deleted.
3 WEATHER REQUEST
Push – transmits data link request for alternate destination weather uplink.
