Exterior Emergency Lighting
Exterior emergency lights illuminate the escape slides. The fuselage installed
escape slide lights are adjacent to the forward and aft service and entry doors.
Lights are also installed on the fuselage to illuminate the overwing escape routes
and ground contact area.
In-Flight Charging* - Double
Charge at 3 Hours and 6.5 Hours
Meal/Beverage
15 minute charge
7.5 Charging must begin
prior to previous
discharge duration
ending. Strips are
assumed to be
shadowed during
meal service by
galley carts and flight
attendants which are
stationary for 5
minutes. In order to
get double charging
credit, strips must be
charged for the first
time 4 hours +/- 15
minutes after prior
charge. The second
charge must take
place before 8 hours
has elapsed from
initial charge.
Day Cruise
15 minute charge
7.5
Continuous Flight
No limit if ceiling and
sidewall light stays on
If the Attendant
Control Panel loses
communication with
the ceiling and
sidewall lights these
lights will change to a
default medium
white. Flight duration
can be extended
continuously.
