Enabling ARP Proxy (Layer 3)
The Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is a TCP/IP protocol that converts IP
addresses into physical addresses. The
ARP Proxy Page
allows network
managers to enable ARP Proxy on the switch. This section is applicable to Layer 3
devices only.
STEP 1 Click System > System Management > IP Addressing > ARP Proxy. The

opens:

The
ARP Proxy Page
contains the following field.
ARP Proxy — Defines the ARP Proxy status. The possible values are:

Enable
— Enables the device to respond to ARP requests for located
nodes.
-
Disable
— The device responds with its own MAC address.
STEP 2 Select ARP Proxy.
