flowcontrol
The flowcontrol Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode command configures flow
control on a given interface. Use the no form of this command to disable flow control.
Syntax
• flowcontrol { auto | on | off }
• no flowcontrol
• auto — Indicates auto-negotiation
•
on — Enables flow control.
•
off — Disables flow control.
Default Configuration
Flow control is off.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode.
User Guidelines
• Negotiation should be enabled for flow control auto .
Example
The following example enables flow control on port 1/e5.
mdix
The mdix Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode command enables cable crossover on a given
interface. Use the no form of this command to disable cable crossover.
Syntax
• mdix {on | auto}
•no mdix
• on — Manual mdix
•
auto — Automatic mdi/mdix
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1/e5
Console(config-if)# flowcontrol on
