traceroute
The traceroute User EXEC mode command discovers routes that packets actually take when traveling to
their destination.

— IPv6 checks the network connectivity.
ip4-address —
Destination host IPv4 address. (Range: Valid IP Address)
ip6-address —
Unicast or multicast IPv6 address to ping. When the IPv6 address is a Link Local
address (IPv6Z address), the outgoing interface name must be specified. Refer to the usage
guidelines for the interface name syntax.
hostname —
Host name of the destination host. (Range: 1 - 158 characters)
packet_size —
Number of bytes in a packet. (Range: 40 - 1500)
max-ttl —
The largest TTL value that can be used. The
traceroute
command terminates when the
destination is reached or when this value is reached. (Range: 1 - 255)
packet_count —
The number of probes to be sent at each TTL level. (Range: 1 - 10)
time_out —
The number of seconds to wait for a response to a probe packet.
(Range: 1 - 60)
