• This command applies to all Spanning Tree instances on the device.
• The cost is set using the
spanning-tree cost
command.
Example
The following example sets the default path cost method to long.
spanning-tree bpdu
The spanning-tree bpdu Global Configuration mode command defines BPDU handling when the
Spanning Tree is disabled globally or on a single interface. Use the no form of this command to return to
the default configuration.
Syntax
•
spanning-tree bpdu
{
filtering
|
flooding
}
• no spanning-tree bpdu
•
filtering
— Filter BPDU packets when the Spanning Tree is disabled on an interface.
•
flooding
— Flood BPDU packets when the Spanning Tree is disabled on an interface.
Default Configuration
The default setting is flooding.

Global Configuration mode.
