Example
The following example configures a static entry in the IPv6 neighbor discovery cache.
ipv6 set mtu
The ipv6 mtu
Privileged EXEC
mode command sets the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size of
IPv6 packets sent on an interface. Use the default parameter to restore the default MTU size.

— Valid interface number.

— VLAN number.

— Valid Port Channel index.

— MTU in bytes with a minimum is 1280 bytes.

— Sets the default MTU size to 1500 bytes.
Default Configuration
1500 bytes.
Command Mode
Privileged EXEC mode.

This command is intended for debugging and testing purposes and should be used only by technical
support personnel.
Example
The following example sets the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size of IPv6 packets sent on an
interface to 1700.

ethernet 1/e16 vlan 1 port-channel 1
