view-name
— Specifies the label for the view record that is being created or updated. The name is
used to reference the record. (Range: 1 - 30 characters)

oid-tree
— Specifies the object identifier of the ASN.1 subtree to be included or excluded from the
view. To identify the subtree, specify a text string consisting of numbers, such as 1.3.6.2.4, or a
word, such as system. Replace a single subidentifier with the asterisk (*) wildcard to specify a
subtree family; for example 1.3.*.4. You may also identify the subtree by specifying its logical
name; for example, "IfEntry.*.1".

included
— Indicates that the view type is included.
•
excluded
— Indicates that the view type is excluded.
Default Configuration
No view entry exists.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
• This command can be entered multiple times for the same view record.
• The number of views is limited to 64 including pre-configured views.
• No check is made to determine that a MIB node corresponds to the "starting portion" of the OID until
the first wildcard.
