The adherence of material can cause severe damage to the running conveyor belt,
the scraper or other machine parts or impair their functionality.
A
Cleaning and care of the machine must be integrated in the daily work routines to
maintain the performance level of the machine and to ensure it complies with the
quality requirements in the long term.
This refers to the following tasks for cleaning the machine:
- before the work session
- during the work session
- after the work session
Before the work session
- Check that the hopper scraper is correctly adjusted, readjust if necessary
- Check that the conveyor scraper is correctly adjusted, readjust if necessary
(see Maintenance - Conveyor / Maintenance - slewing belt)
- Check that the conveyor side shields are correctly adjusted, readjust if necessary.

- Use the spray lance to apply separator emulsion to all machine parts and compo-
nents coming in contact with asphalt. This applies particularly to:
- Hopper
- Conveyor side shields
- Push roller
- Stone guard, material chute
- Use the spraying system for pretreatment of the conveyor belt.
During the work session
- After changing the truck: use the spray lance to apply separator emulsion to the
hopper and conveyor side shields.
- Use the spraying system to apply separator emulsion to the emptied
conveyor belt.
- Ensure that there is a constant flow of material being conveyed:
- keep the speed low in "auto" mode.
- Try to keep the belt "full" without major interruptions.
