- Move the conveyor belt with the maintenance switch. Then check all parts between
the segments (A) and all segment contact surfaces (B) while the belt runs round
completely once.
- On finding adhesions or accumulations of material or material incursions under the
conveyor belt segments:
- stop the conveyor belt, secure it to prevent it from starting up again and remove
the unwanted material.
A
Material deposits under the conveyor belt segments are indicated by bumps on the
outer surface of the conveyor belt (example: (C)). While the belt runs round complete-
ly once, a second person should check the entire outer surface for any signs
of bumps.
- If there is material under the segments:
- loosen the screwed connections (D) of the segment, remove material under
the segment.
- Restore screwed connections again:
- insert cleaned screw with liquid screw cement (see spare parts catalogue)
and tighten correctly.
- Ensure that the plate screw fits properly.
