5.9.14 Reducing Vertical Streaks
This section describes how to specify whether or not to reduce vertical streaks on the
scanned data, which were caused by dirt inside the scanner.
1. Select [Vertical Streaks Reduction] under [Image Correction] on the scan
settings window.
The [Vertical Streaks Reduction] window appears.
2. Specify whether or not to reduce vertical streaks on the scanned data.
3. Press the [OK] button.
The information entered is set.
ATTENTION
If vertical streaks are still outstanding even after this option is enabled, open the LCD cover
on the scanner, and wipe off the glasses inside. For details, refer to "6.3 Cleaning Inside the
Scanner" (page 345).
