GENERAL

The
front
cylinder
head
can be removed with the engine in
the
frame.
o
The
rear cylinder head
cannot
be removed
with the engine in the frame; however its camshafts
and
rocker aims can
be
serviced
with
the
engine
in the
frame.
o
lf
the cam
sprockets of either
front
or rear cylinder
are
removed,
the
valve
timing
of both
cylinders
must
be checked
during
re instal I
ation.
o
Camshaftlubricatingoil isfedthroughtheexternal oil lines.Besuretheoil linesarenotclogged.
o
During assembly,
apply molybdenum
disulfide
to the camshaft
holder
surfaces to
provide
initial
lubrication.
o
The
cylinder numbering
is
given
below:
