DISASSEMBLY
Hold the
fork tube in a vise,
witli soft
jaws
or a shop
towel and remove
the
fork
tube
cap.
CAUTlOltl
Do
not damage the
sliding surface.
Remove the
fork
spring, spacer and washer.
Drain the
fork
fluid
by
pumping
the fork
up and
down
several
times.
Hold the
fork
slider in a vise
with
soft
jaws
or
a
shop
towel.
Remove
the socket bolt with a hex
wrench.
NOTE
Temporarily
install the
spring and
fork
cap
if
difficulty
is encountered in removing the
socket bolt.
The
piston
and rebound spring can be removed
from
the
right fork.
