engine
and check
the
oil
pressure
at 5,000
rpm.

Stop
the engine.
Apply
3-BOND@
sealant
or equivalent
to the
pressure
switch threads
and install.
TOROUE:

Connect
the oil
pressure
switch wire.
Start the engine.
Check that
the
oil
pressure
warning indicator
goes
out
after
one
or two
seconds.
lf the
oil
pressure
warning
indicator
stays on,
stop
the engine
immediately
and determine
the cause.

REMOVAL
NOTE
The
oil
pump
can be
removed with
the
engine
mounted
in the
f
rame.
Remove
the
lower
radiator
Drain
the
engine
oil.
Remove
the exhaust
system.
Remove
the right
crankcase cover.
Remove
the
oil
pump
driven
sprocket
by
removing
the bolt
and
washer.
Remove the
oil strainer
(page
2-4)
and the oil
pass pipe.
Make
sure the O-rings
are
in
good
condition.
