Clean the
crankcase mating
surfaces.
Apply liquid
sealant to the mating
surface of the
lower
and
upper
crankcase.
CAUTION
Do
not apply sealant
to the area near
the
main bearings.
DO
NOT
COAT
THIS
AREA.
Install
the dowel
pin
into the lower
crankcase.
Assemble
the crankcase
halves,
aligning
the shift
forks
with the
gears.
Tighten the
bolts to the
specified torque values
in
the
sequence shown.

Tighten
the bolts in
a crisscross
pattern
and in
2-3
steps.
