Learning Protection Features
As the cooling fan is connected to the motor axis,
the cooling effect varies, based on motor speed.
Most universal induction motors have this design.
Additional power is supplied to operate the cooling
fan. This provides extended operation at low
speeds. Motors designed for inverters typically have
this design.
The amount of input current that can be continuously supplied to the
motor for 1 minute, based on the motor-rated current (bA.13).
Sets the amount of current with the ETH function activated. The range
below details the set values that can be used during continuous operation
without the protection function.
Overload Early Warning and Trip
A warning or fault ‘trip’ (cutoff) occurs when the motor reaches an overload state, based on
the motor’s rated current. The amount of current for warnings and trips can be set
separately.
