6.22.3 Hydraulic oil tank heater
If your machine is fitted with the optional park heating, the oil in the hydraulic oil tank
can be preheated by the oil tank heater. A heating coil connected to the diesel engine
cooling system is installed in the hydraulic oil tank. The hydraulic oil tank heater must
be switched on at every cold start.
1
Turn the ball valve lever (1) on the outside wall of the hydraulic oil tank upwards.
Move the lever forward to shut off the oil tank heater.
ADVICE
Use the oil tank heater. Preheated hydraulic oil reduces wear in the hydraulic system.
The main battery switch must not be shut off while park heating is operating unless
there is immediate danger, because in this case the heater will be switched off without
a cooling down period (risk of overheating!).
The oil tank heater must be shut off before starting the diesel engine and also once
the colour terminal shows a hydraulic oil temperature of 40 °C or higher. Otherwise
the hydraulic oil will be continuously heated by the diesel engine coolant and will be
unnecessarily heated.
