(11) Skids under the central mark (adjustable)
Working too deep in the ground increases the power requirements of the pickup drive
and substantially increases roller wear! The depth setting must constantly be adjusted
to the ground profile and the load on the pickup by the beet weight.
6.13.5 Clearing shields
The clearing shields (1) delimit the pickup width and guide the beets on the side onto
the pickup roller.

When using the machine for the first time, set the rubber skirts (2) so that these just
barely contact the ground.
ATTENTION
During loading, especially watch out for frozen ground and built-up bulging soil in the
course of the clearing shield. Do not drive through obstacles with the clearing shields!
Doing so could damage the folding mechanism.
