7.17 Shutdown for a longer period of time
If the machine will not be operated for one to four weeks, the main battery switch must
be switched to the off position. The F03 fuse (1) in the central electrical system must
also be pulled out, because the time clock for the park heating is still powered by cur-
rent from the batteries when the main battery switch is off.
ADVICE
When the F03 fuse is pulled the battery disconnector relay can no longer switch on or
off, because there will be no control current. Therefore, the battery disconnector relay
must be open before pulling the F03 fuse.
To do this:
– Put ignition lock in the position 0
– Switch off the main battery switch, wait 6 minutes. The battery disconnector relay
will open with an audible click. Check that the battery disconnector relay has really
opened (green LED on the R-Touch is off if ignition is switch ON).
– Now pull out fuse F03.
– Please replace fuse F03 before switching on the main battery switch on again.
1
In case the machine has to be shut down for more than four weeks, then the following
work must be performed:
– Thoroughly wash the machine. Avoid directly spraying the bearings and supporting
rollers.
– Drain condensate from the compressed air reservoirs.
– Lubricate all lubricating points of the machine.
– Let the central lubricating system run for at least 2 cycles with drive switched on.
– Spray the complete machine with corrosion-inhibiting oil. Make sure that no oil or
grease touches the tires.
– Grease all piston shafts and the collars of the hydraulic cylinders.
– Park the machine in a dry and weather-protected place, if possible, in a hall.
– Completely drain water from the water spray system in case of freezing risk.
