Provisioning the PTP Output
The TP 2300/2700 ETH2 PTP output port can be configured for different profiles,
along with parameters for each profile.
PTP Profiles
Table 4-5 shows the profiles with which the TP 2300/2700 can be configured. The
ETH2 PTP output port can run only one of these profiles at one time.
PTP Server Parameters
By default, the ETH2 port of the TP 2300/2700 is provisioned as a PTP master
enabled for PTP Telecom-2008 unicast negotiation. The
set ptp master
command is used to provision PTP parameters for the Default (multicast),
Telecom-2008 (unicast), and ITU-G.8265.1 (unicast) profiles.
