MESSAGE-
TYPE
The DHCP Relay message type that DHCP Relay traces
should be displayed for. Specifying this parameter allows
a trace to be added for one or ALL of the possible
DHCP Relay message types.
DISCOVER - message sent by the client to discover the
available servers
OFFER - message sent by the server to offer an IP
address lease
REQUEST - message sent by the client to accept the IP
address offer
DECLINE - message sent by the client to decline the IP
address offer
ACK - message sent by the server to acknowledge the
request message
NACK - message sent by the server when it can’t
acknowledge the request
RELEASE - message sent to the server to release (deac-
tivate) the IP address
INFORM - message sent by the client to the server for
more information
ALL - all of the possible message types
ALL
