CLEAR DIAGNOSTICS
Syntax
CLEAR DIAGNOSTICS [ { INTERFACE={ type:id-range | id-range |
ifname-list | ALL } | CARD={ slot-list | ALL } | ALL } ] [ FORCE ]
Description The CLEAR DIAGNOSTICS command is used to clear diagnostics results for all specified
cards or interface.
Options The following table gives the range of values for each option that can be specified with
this command and a default value (if applicable).

8.4 Maintenance Audits
Internal maintenance audits are automatically executed by the system. Periodic audits run on an internally set
schedule. System audits search for cards and ports with interrupted maintenance activity or failures and take
action accordingly. The action taken depends on whether the audit is performed periodically or after a swap of
activity. If a periodic audit runs, action is only taken on the second detection of an interrupted maintenance
action or failure.
Option Description Default Value
INTERFACE A logical representation of one or more physical ports;
specifies the interfaces that are to have their diagnostics
cleared.
type:id-range - the type of available ports, such as
ETH:7.0 or a range (ETH:8.0-8.9)
id-range - used with type (type:id) to query the physical
ports; the numerical identifier of the interface
ifname-list - list of interface names, if not numerical
ALL - apply command to all applicable interfaces in the
system
FORCE - overrides the CLI command confirmation
behavior
CARD The specific card or cards that are to have their diagnos-
tics cleared.
slot-list - list of specific cards to be cleared
ACTCFC - active CFC cards
INACTCFC - inactive CFC cards
ALL - clear all cards on the shelf
