8.6.4 EDITING THE LOGICAL CHANEL DESCRIPTOR (NIT)
The Logic Channel Descriptor in NIT is used to signal to the receiver which service should be assigned to which
channel number. To add a channel assignment in the outgoing NIT, click on the edit NIT option.
Specifier
Four possible options are available:
• NorDig – the Nordic region descriptor (version 1 and 2)
• DigitalEurope (with HD Simulcast support)
• Ofcom
• LCD – UK specific LCN descriptor
Net ID
Output Network ID
TS ID
Output Transport Stream ID
Service ID
Output Service ID
Service Name
Service Name, obtained from the stream itself. This parameter is empty if the
service is added manually by clicking on the button.
