6.4.5.5 Operation 48. Change of oil in FDA main gear housing, in intermediate support of
FDA cardan drive, in top and bottom bevel gears and pinions of wheel gear groups of FDA
Note: This operation shall only be performed in BELARUS-892 tractors.
Before changing the oil, warm oil in the FDA housing and the intermediate support housing
up to normal operating temperature by driving a tractor.
Then place the tractor on the level ground. The engine must be stopped. Engage the park-
ing brake and block the rear wheels from moving by anti-recoil block stops in front and be-
hind;
To change oil in the housing of the intermediate support, do the following:
- Unscrew the filler plug 1 (Figure 6.4.39) and the drain plug 2 in the intermediate sup-
port housing, drain the oil into a special container for the used oil;
- Put the drain plug 2 back and fill the intermediate support housing with fresh oil up to
the level of the lower edge of the filler plug hole 1;
- Put the filler plug 1 back.

To change oil in the housing of the FDA with bevel wheel gear groups do the following:
- Unscrew the filler plugs of the housing of the lower bevel gears and pinions 2 (Figure
6.4.40) and of the housing of the upper bevel gear and pinions 3; of the main gear 4;
- unscrew the drain plugs of the housing of the lower bevel gears and pinions 1, of the
main gear housing 5, drain oil into a special container for the used oil;
- put the drain plugs 1 and 5 back;
- fill the housings of the lower bevel gears and pinions and of the main gear with fresh oil
through the filler holes up to the level of the lower edge of the filler plug holes 2 and 4;
- put the filler plugs 2 and 4 back.
