- fill the filter housing with fuel;
- put the cover 1 and the attaching nuts;
- bleed air out of the fuel supply system.

To remove air from the fuel system of the engine with a dismountable fine fuel filter,
open the valves of fuel tanks, screw the plug 3 out (Figure 6.4.48) on the body of the fuel
pump (the location of the air outlet plug on fuel pumps of various types differs) and screw
out the fitting 1 on the fine fuel filter body by 1-2 turns. Bleed the system using a booster
pump 2, sequentially closing the plug 3 on the fuel pump body and the fitting 1 on the fine
fuel filter when fuel appears.

If the engine of your tractor is equipped with a solid fine fuel filter you, replace the fine fuel
filter by proceeding as follows:
- shut both valves (Figure 2.22.1) of the fuel tanks;
- drain fuel from the filter having screwed out the plug 4 (Figure 6.4.49) in the bot-
tom part of the body.
- do not let fuel spill, drain fuel only into a special container;
- screw the filter 1 off the fitting 8 in the body 2 and mount instead a new filter delivered
together with a gasket 7, having previously lubricated it with motor oil;
- as the gasket 7 touches the mounting surface “A” on the body 2 turn the filter by 3/4
revolutions. Hereby turn the filter only manually;
- fill the system with fuel;
