Instead of the filter FT020-1117010 other fuel filters of solid type with basic specifica-
tions and dimensions as follows are permitted for installation:
- sieving rate not less than 90%;
- conditional carrying capacity min. 150 l/h under the pressure drop of 0.01 MPa;
- diameter – 95 to 105;
- height – 140 to 160;
- mounting surface - М16x1,5;
- outer diameter of gasket – 70 to 75 mm.
To remove air from the engine fuel supply system with a solid fine fuel filter proceed
as follows:
- open the valves of fuel tanks;
- screw the plug 1 out (Figure 6.4.50), located on the bolt attaching the outlet union,
by 2 to 3 revolutions;
- bleed the system using the booster pump 3 screwing the plug in as fuel appears
without air bubbles;
- screw out the plug 2 on the fuel filter body (the location of the air outlet plug on fuel
pumps of various types differs);
- bleed the system using the booster pump screwing the plug 2 in as fuel appears
without air bubbles;
