Gear 15 is in constant mesh with the smaller rim of double-rim gear 28 (Figure 3.3.1).
If the tractor is equipped with a reverse gear unit (Figure 3.3.3), then intermediate
reverse gear 15 (Figure 3.3.2) is not available in the gearbox, and the reverse movement of
the tractor is implemented by turning on the reverse gear unit (see section 2).
In the rear part of shaft 27, on its smooth journal there is a driven gear for low speeds
and reverse 25 on a bronze bushing, which is in constant engagement with the smaller rim
of gear 25 (Figure 3.3.1) of intermediate shaft 32. If the tractor does not use the hydraulic
creeper (or not equipped with the hydraulic creeper), then drive of shaft 27 is provided
through the gear 25 (Figure 3.3.2) by means of gear 24. In this case, gear 24 is connected
to the internal splined rim of gear 25 and to the outer splined rim of shaft 27, as shown in
Figure 3.3.2. For a tractor equipped with the hydraulic creeper, spring ring 23 is shifted all
the way back, and when working with the hydraulic creeper turned on, the rotation is trans-
mitted from gear 25 (Figure 3.3.1) to gear 25 (Figure 3.3.2), which at the same time rotates
on shaft 27, while gear 24 is disengaged from gear 25 with the creeper lever. In this case,
after transformation in hydraulic creeper the power flow is transmitted to shaft 27 through its
splined connection with gear 24.
On the right side of the gearbox, in the bores of the gearbox housing, axle 28 is in-
stalled, on which FDA drive gear 29 freely rotates on two tapered roller bearings. The power
flow for the FDA is taken from driven gear of 1st pass of range gear unit 6 (Figure 3.3.1),
with which gear 29 (Figure 3.3.2) is in constant engagement.
On the front wall of gearbox housing 29 (Figure 3.3.1), coaxially with intermediate
shaft 32, there is seat 30, inside which the front bearing of inner shaft 19 is located, and
outside - the ball bearings of intermediate double-rim gear of the gear unit 31.
There are windows on the right and left of the gearbox housing (Figure 3.3.2). The
left window is closed with cover 18, which has oil dipstick 19 to monitor the oil level. If the
tractor is equipped with a hydraulic creeper or a semi-continuous side PTO, then cover 18
is dismantled, and the window is closed by the body of the hydraulic creeper or the semi-
continuous side PTO. Oil level in this case shall be checked by means of check plug 16.
The right window is closed by the FDA drive transfer case.
To drain the oil when changing it, a hole is provided in the lower part of the gearbox
housing, which is closed by plug 17.
