9.8.3.1 Defining the Evaluation Area
Use both buttons to define the left and right limit of the evaluation
area.
Application example
A narrow rubber web is applied in the middle on a transparent
carrier web (follower). The position of the rubber web should be
controlled (guiding to edge ① and ②).

In the area of the left and right web edge of the carrier material,
the CCD camera detects two contrast transitions and , that
are not relevant for control of the rubber web. These areas of the
video curve should not be evaluated for the optimum setting of
the exposure time. The left and right limit of the evaluation area
are therefore selected in such a manner that the contrast
transitions and are located outside the evaluation area.
The faded out areas that are excluded from the evaluation are
marked yellow (left of the evaluation area) or green (right of the
evaluation area).
