9.8.8 Defining the Scan Direction
\ Edge Definition \ Scan Direction
The Scan Direction menu is used to define the scan direction of
the CCD camera.

The scan direction is the direction that is used for the evaluation
of the video signal. It is indicated with an arrow in the upper part
of the operation display.
You can select from the following settings:
Setting Description
Right >>
Evaluation of the video signal from left to right
Scan direction Right >>
Edge 1 Edge 2
Left <<
Evaluation of the video signal right to left
Scan direction Left <<
Edge 2 Edge 1
If the scan direction is changed, the allocation of the edge numbers
to the contrast transitions also changes. In the example shown
above, edge 1 becomes edge 2 and vice versa.
