7.5.1.1 Light Box Types XS, SL and XL
The light boxes of the XS, SL and XL types are used for the detec-
tion of the web edge positions using the transmitted light method.
They are connected to an external power supply (24 V⎓) and
provide permanent light with a brightness of 100%. Brightness
control is not possible with these light box types.
7.5.1.2 Light Box Type MLLA
The light box of the MLLA type was specially developed for the
reflected light method. It can be optionally connected to an
external power supply (24 V⎓) or directly to the CCD CAM 100
CCD camera. When operated on the external power supply, it
provides permanent light with a brightness of 100%. When
operated on the CCDCAM100, the brightness of two light boxes
can be adjusted via the camera interface of the CCD camera
between 0% and 100%.
