CCD CAM 100 – Installation and Operating Manual 151/198
9.9.2 Setting the IP Address
\ Network \ Ethernet \ IP Address
In the IP Address menu, you determine the IP address of the CCD
camera.
Fig.92: IP Address menu
If the CCD camera should be integrated into an Ethernet network,
you have to assign the device with an IP address to allow it to
communicate with the network.
The device uses the internet protocol version 4 (IPv4).
9.9.3 Setting the Netmask
\ Network \ Ethernet \ Netmask
In the Netmask menu, you determine the subnet mask for the IP
address of the CCD camera.
Fig.93: Netmask menu
The subnet mask is a bit mask. It comprises 32 bit and, together
with the IP address, determines the address of the device in the
Ethernet network. Each IPv4 address is separated into a network
and a device part (host part) by a subnet mask. In doing so, the
subnet mask specifies how many bits account for the network part
with the IP address. The network part indicates which devices are
in a sub-net. It must be the same for all devices in a sub-net.
