8.9.10 Z Axis Alignment
Alignment methods
Depending on the installation position of the CCD camera, two
methods can be used for the precise alignment of the Z axis. Using
the integrated accelerometer (electronic spirit-level), the CCD
camera automatically detects its installation position and selects
the optimum alignment method automatically.
Alignment Method Description Utilization
Pattern
The alignment of the Z axis is carried out
using two material strips with identical
width that are positioned in the viewing
range of the CCD camera.
Installation position where the Z axis
of the CCD camera runs vertically.
Spirit Level
The alignment of the Z axis is carried out
using the integrated accelerometer.
An electronic spirit-level appears in the
display of the CCD camera.
Installation position where the Z axis
of the CCD camera runs horizontally.
Setting rule
The angle between the Y axis of the CCD camera and the web
running level must be exactly 90°.
