8.9.2 Goal of the Alignment
Before the Adjustment After the Adjustment
Goal of the alignment is to
■ align the CCD camera precisely perpendicular to the light
source/web of material (alignment X, Y and Z axes),
■ adapt the camera measuring range to the material width,
■ set the camera focus.
8.9.3 Tools and Auxiliary Equipment
To align the CCD camera, you need the following tools and auxiliary
equipment:
■ Allen key WAF 2.5
■ Allen key WAF 5
■ Steel rule
■ Two opaque material strips with identical width (e.g. business
cards)*
■ Adhesive strip for fixing the material strips
* The material strips are only required for the installation position,
where the Z axis of the CCD camera runs vertical (see Z Axis
Alignment, page 98).
