9.9.8 Selecting the Calibration Method
\ Calibration Settings \ Calibration Method
The Calibration Method menu is used to select the method for
the calibration of the CCD camera. During the calibration, a
linearization of the measuring range is carried out. In doing so the
measuring deviations that are caused by the optic properties of
the zoom lens are automatically compensated.

You can select from the following calibration methods:
Method Description Remark
Off The CCD camera will not be calibrated.
Measurement inaccuracies may occur due
to the optical characteristics of the camera
lens.
Factory
The device uses the values from the calibration
of the CCD camera made in the factory for
compensating the measurement inaccuracies.
Use this calibration method, if no calibration
template is available.
High Res.
The calibration of the CCD camera is carried
out using a calibration template.
Use this calibration method for applications
requiring high measuring accuracy.
