run a program which looks in co mpl ete (li ke sc reen im ages ar e mi ss in g) or
a pp ears di sto rt ed, run th e NoF as tM em utility a nd retry th e program. No Fast-
Mem (located in th e S ys tem drawer On your Workbench di sk) fo rces th e A mi ga
to a ll ocate a ll programs to th e chip RAM ( th e b as ic built- in A mi ga memory),

Select th e NoF as tM em icon, a nd wa tch th e memory mete r. When th e amo unt of
ava il a bl e memory drops, th e progr am h as been exec ut ed. If YO ll don't have no n-
chip RAM (i.e., you don't have th e ASOI Memory E xp ansion cartridge), thi s
program w ill have no effec t.
The No Fa s tM em icon wo rk s like a toggle; to re in sta ll th e no n- chip RAM (to
in crease th e memory), select th e NoF as tM em icon aga in . Ano th er way to
re in stall th e exte rn al memory is to reset Workbe nch .
