Baud Rate
The default baud rate is: 1200 BAUD, 8 Bits, No Parity, 1 Stop
The user can select any other BAUD rate via the SYSTEM 3505 Communication
SET MENU.
9.4 D-LAN OUTPUT SETTINGS
Please refer to Section 10: DLAN OPTION.
9.5 CAPS Protocol (not recommended)
The CAPS protocol is the predecessor to CAPS II and is basically a one way communication
between the SYSTEM 3505 and the automation system. While this interface is available to
support legacy systems, it is not recommended for new applications as it lacks any
supervision as a one way protocol. New installations should consider CAPS II (which
requires a signed non-disclosure) in lieu of using CAPS. For a reference, the CAPS protocol
is provided as shown in Figure 9-1.
