System 3505 Installation & Operation Manual
Digitize, Inc. 700248-0002 Rev. C 02/16
Specification Subject to Change Without Notice
7-4
7.2.2
Contact ID
The Contact ID account number is a 9 + 3 digit protocol for use with Contact
ID/SIA when implemented with the DDI-9/10E and or Intellitize radio.
Leading zeros will be left blank. For example, on account 234 the Contact ID
account number may be 23401008.
Account number to the SYSTEM 3505, when added, can be assigned to any
group (i.e. 1 –8). The group fields are not used when receiving a Contact ID
account, however, the dialer must be assigned to one of the 8 groups in order for
the Negative Dialer report to operate properly. If an existing 3x1, 4x2 etc.
account switches to Contact ID, only program the user text messages for the new
account numbers. NOTE: WIN3505 can be used to simply renumber the
account and use the same message.
When a Contact ID account appears on the display, the first screen contains the
Contact ID information. Both zone specific and generic messages will work with
the Contact ID.
7.2.3
MEM-ID
The Contact ID messages will be stored in a MEM-600 type IC labeled “Contact
ID.” This EEPROM can be placed in the next available socket on the memory
card. In Systems with a full card where the last MEM-600 is not currently in use,
the last MEM-600 can be removed and be replaced with the “Contact ID” MEM-
600. The MEM-600 that is removed can be installed on the next memory card
purchased.
7.2.4
Powering the DDI-9/10E
The DDI-9/10E will require an external 6-12 VDC power supply. The
manufacturer of the DDI-9/10E recommends .5AH x desired standby time. To
facilitate connection to a 12VDC power source, the DDI-9/10E is shipped with a
harness that allows the DDI-9/10E to be powered from the rear of the SYSTEM
3505. Thus if a SYSTEM 3505 utilizes a battery backup system, the DDI-9/10E
will also share in this backup supply.
7.2.5
RS-232 Serial Port
Digitize supplies an RS-232 Configurator card with each DDI-9/10E. If the
system to which the DDI-9/10E is being installed has no available config card
slots, then Digitize, Inc. can then supply a quad serial expander card that plugs
into the SYSTEM 3505. Two part numbers for the DDI-9/10E (one part number
for DDI-9/10E with RS-232 Configurator card and one with the Quad serial card)
have been issued. Unless otherwise noted, the RS-232 Configurator card is
delivered on all in-house orders, providing that the system SYSTEM 3505
purchased has an available config card slot open.
