ACKnowledged, and a higher priority alarm comes in, the higher priority alarm
will replace the lower priority alarm on the screen.
For example, if a BURGLARY priority level 2 alarm is displayed on the screen but
has not been ACKnowledged, and a FIRE alarm (priority one) comes in, the FIRE
alarm would replace the BURGLARY alarm, thereby taking priority. If a lower
priority alarm comes in, the higher priority alarm will remain on the screen until
ACKnowledged. The SYSTEM 3505 will process one alarm at a time. If a second
lower or equal priority alarm is received, prior to acknowledging the current alarm,
the fourth line of the display will flash “NEW ALRM WAITING”. The “NEW
ALRM WAITING” will alternate with the date and time at a one second rate. If a
new trouble condition is received prior to acknowledging an alarm condition, the
display will flash “NEW TRBL WAITING.”
For instructions on changing the priority level, refer to Section 4.2.1.1 Adding Text
to a Zone. NOTE: A new ALARM will automatically take priority over any
TROUBLE condition.
6.4.2
Normal Quiescent Operation
Under normal condition, the SYSTEM 3505 displays the current date and time
on the lower line of the screen.
6.4.3
Alarm Condition
If a zone changes from SECURE to ALARM, the zone will display on the screen,
the sound assigned to that level alarm will sound, and the word ALARM will
blink in reverse video along the left side of the screen, and the red alarm LED
will illuminate. The ACK button will illuminate to prompt the operator of the
need to ACKnowledge the event. This will silence the sound although the screen
will continue to display the zone in alarm and ALARM will remain on the
screen. The exact time of Acknowledgment will be printed on the printout.
6.4.4
Trouble Condition
If a zone changes from SECURE to TROUBLE, the zone will display on the
screen, the sound assigned to the trouble condition will sound, and the letters
TRBL will blink in reverse video. The ACK button will illuminate to prompt the
operator of the need to ACKnowledge the event. This will silence the audible
sound although the screen will continue to display the zone in trouble and TRBL
will remain on the screen. The exact time of Acknowledgment will be printed on
the printout.
If TRBL is illuminated, this indicates that the incoming line has either
malfunctioned or has been tampered with. Proceed according to supervisor’s
instructions. If there are several unACKnowledged zones in the TROUBLE
condition, the first zone to be received will be displayed in large text. The
unACKnowledged zones will be listed in small type below the double yellow
line. The display will indicate “NEW TRBL WAITING” on the second line of
the screen.
