System 3505 Installation & Operation Manual
Digitize, Inc. 700248-0002 Rev. C 02/16
Specification Subject to Change Without Notice
16-5
trouble conditions at the FACP are sent to the SYSTEM 3505, but are routed to
an FACP Fault log. Each time a FAULT is added to the log, the SYSTEM 3505
will make a short buzzing sound. The STATUS soft key will change to FACP
FAULTS. When this key is pressed, the operated can view the last 76 FACP
fault messages that the SYSTEM 3505 has processed. If the SYSTEM 3505
contains the RLP-1 line printer, the 15 SET menu for the RLP line printer allows
the routing of FACP faults to the selected printers. After a 15 minute period,
should the FACP activate a new Trouble, the SYSTEM 3505 will re-annunciate
that one or more FACP faults exist for the location of the MUXPAD.
Selection 2= The Multiplex System will change to have the MUXPAD panels
report each individual TROUBLE. This will force the MUXPAD to report each
and every trouble to the SYSTEM 3505, where the operator will then need to
ACKnowledge each and every Trouble and Restore condition reported.
16.2 MULTIPLEX SINGLE LINE OUT OPTION
With this option installed, a single Configuration card is plugged into Port #0, on the rear of
the SYSTEM 3505, to provide communications to the DGM panels. All the DGM panels
must be purchased with the same communications protocol to make the overall system
compatible. Only communications style “3” is available with the single line out.
Communications protocols include:
RS-232 (generally for connection to some data transport system)
RS-485
Audio (limits the number of DGM to just a few, unless an audio distribution system
is installed)
Fiber, 62 micron multi mode
Polling Radio (can accommodate all 500 DGM panels)
Ethernet (can accommodate all 500 DGM panles)
16.3 MULTIPLEX 32-LINE DRIVER
This option provides the first 32-line driver rack which will accommodate up to 32 mix and
match line drivers. The 32-line driver racks are expandable to a total of four, providing up to
128 mix and match isolated communications paths to the 500 DGM panel capability. Choose
this option when mixing the communications protocols to various facilities, need a mixture of
style “3” or “6” communications or isolation of the data links to the DGM panels is required.
Communications protocols include:
RS-232 (generally for connection to some data transport system)
RS-485
Audio (limits the number of DGM to just a few, unless an audio distribution system
is installed)
Fiber, 62 micron multi mode (can accommodate all 500 panels on a style “6” loop).
Polling Radio (can accommodate all 500 DGM panels)
Ethernet (can accommodate all 500 DGM panls)
The card rack option allows the “mix and match” of any (or all) the available data
communication protocols in one system and requires a line driver card for each data line
installed (RS-485, polling radio, audio or fiber). The 32-line card rack configuration is
required when mixing radio mux, hard-wire mux, fiber mux or audio mux.
