Example of Data Loss
After processing a data loss, this incoming signal will produce a Daily Test
message as well. .
Note on the printout that the “RAW GENERIC” message came in on phone line
#2, as subscriber 1234 zone E2. However, the dialer sent in zone E2 to indicate a
DATA LOSS, which indicates that the last time it tried to dial in, it was
unsuccessful. As the incoming zone was sent in lieu of a daily test, the SYSTEM
3505 also forced a daily test in addition to reporting in the data loss. For this
example, E2 was used as a data loss signal, however, the system may use other
codes to represent the Data loss signal. Not that the English zones always append
the actual zone that came in as part of the SYSTEM 3505 account number.
7.4.5
No Cust #
Failure to program the subscriber into the SYSTEM 3505 will result in the printout
as noted. The SYSTEM 3505 will use the incoming zone representation as the
zone for the SYSTEM 3505, thus processing Dialer 1234-E2 in this example.
While the condition reported in as an Alarm, and should be treated as such, it may
in fact be an Alarm, Trouble, restore or an English value.
