Digitize, Inc. 700248-0002 Rev. C 02/16
Specification Subject to Change Without Notice
7-20
On installations with two SYSTEM 3505 units, automatic transfer, and a DDI-9/10E module
for each unit, the backup SYSTEM 3505 provides a second system of coverage. In this case
redundant operation would require at least two SYSTEM 3505 units and two DDI-9/10E
modules.
7.6 FCC Information
The DDI-9/10E connects to the telephone line by means of a standard jack (USOC RJ11 C or
USOC RJ45 S). Connection to telephone company coin operated service (central office
implemented system) is prohibited. Connection to party line service is subject to State tariffs.
The telephone company can make changes to their lines, equipment, operations or procedures
that could affect service or the operation of the equipment. The telephone company will
typically give advance notice to allow necessary changes to be made to maintain uninterrupted
service. Any questions about telephone line, such as how many pieces of equipment can
connect to it, should be directed to the telephone company.
Upon request of the telephone company, provide the FCC registration number and the ringer
equivalence number (REN) of the equipment that is connected to the line. Both of these items
are listed on the equipment label. The sum of all the RENs on the telephone lines should be
less than five in order to ensure proper service from the telephone company. In some cases, a
total of five may not be usable on a given line.
If any portion of the telephone equipment is not operating properly, remove it immediately
remove it from the telephone line, as it may cause harm to the telephone network. If the
telephone company notes a problem, they may temporarily disconnect service. When practical,
they will notify of the disconnection in advance, or as soon as possible. Upon notification,
operators will be given the opportunity to correct the problem and informed of the right to file a
complaint with the FCC.
CAUTION! Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Digitize, Inc. could void the
user's authority to operate the equipment.
NOTE: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause harmful interference.
2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.
